Spot created as part of the campaign that launched Jac Motor’s new model, “Jac J2”. The video brings both sides of this new car: a young city car,
but also a powerful machine when in motion. This duality is represented in the movie as a metaphor between two music worlds: pop and rock. The pop world brings visuals inspired back from Lichtenstein artworks; meanshile the rock world brings the dark style of Frank Miller’s “Sin City” series.
My role as a motion designer was to animate the transitions between these two worlds, the car mutations in the pack scene, and create the special effects (splashes). I have also designed the textures of some scenes and
the onomatopoeias, giving together general assistance to the directors
with the final compositing, rendering and minor video adjustments.
